Bio
Lloyd J. Nadel was born in the Bronx and grew up on Long Island. He graduated at the top of his classes in college and law school. Lloyd was admitted to the New York State and Federal Bars in 1976. In 1980, he was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.
For the first 8 years of his career, Lloyd was first an Assistant District Attorney in Nassau County and then an Assistant Corporation Counsel in New York City. As an A.D.A, he prosecuted criminal offenses of all types, including charges of murder. As an A.C.C., he defended the City on all types of negligence cases, including police assaults, automobile accidents, and construction site accidents. He tried more than 30 cases to verdict, most before juries.
In Nassau County, he successfully prosecuted individuals for murder, burglary, robbery, assault, driving while intoxicated, drug sales, and other serious felony charges. In New York City, he successfully defended police officers and detectives, city employees, and hospital workers from allegations of negligence and civil assault and battery.
In private practice in Mineola since 1983, Mr. Nadel has defended people accused of crimes and traffic violations as well as prosecuted personal injury cases arising from automobile accidents, police misconduct, construction site accidents, and other civil misconduct. He has tried approximately 100 jury cases to verdict and participated in hundreds of hearings, grand juries, and criminal and civil investigations in both State and Federal Courts.
