Early Christmas Present for Law Firm Client
On Monday morning, December 1, 2025, Lloyd and Joe started a felony Driving While Intoxicated trial in Nassau County Court. The client was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while impaired by alcohol. He had a prior DWI so this one was a felony.
He was offered a reduced charge but the attorneys felt that based upon the evidence and lack of evidence, they had a good shot at the beating the entire case.
Jury selection started on Monday morning. Three Nassau County police officers from elite units testified and were subjected to rigorous cross examination by Lloyd and Joe. The defense put on one witness, a friend who had been with the client that day.
After all four witnesses testified and the attorneys put on their summations, the jury deliberated and on that Friday at 5:00 pm, returned a verdict of NOT GUILTY on both charges!
The client was ecstatic to be able to enjoy the holidays without a criminal charge hanging over his head.
